A worksheet to consolidate modals of ability in present and past. It will be an excellent activity after the grammar introduction to consolidate making sentences with can and could to talk about abilities in present and past. The sentences are given in jumbled order and use the third singular person as the subject.

The worksheet is designed as worksheets A and B, which will help you encourage peer teaching. First, distribute the worksheets to each pair as A and B. When students have completed their own worksheets then ask them to swap each other's worksheets and check them. They can have small discussions on wrong answers before whole class feedback.
